This is just one example of being able to SEE what God is trying to show us if we pay attention.

I just started creating this webpage this morning. Three hours ago, to be exact. When I got to this page, I got out my handy "Where to Find it in the Bible" to locate a catchy scripture verse to start this blog. The first one I found was listed under "Valley of Decision". That's good stuff, because when we are in the valley we definitely have a decision to make.

"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision".

-Joel 3:14

Wow, that's really good stuff. The valley of decision and the day of the Lord being near, all in one verse. Seriously, we are on day 108 of being in isolation because of the COVID19 virus. We are on day 34 of protests turned riots over racial inequality. Twenty-one days ago, 6 city blocks in Seattle, including the Police department, were taken over by radical protesters.

These protesters have now began a movement to defund the police across America. Statues of historical significance to our country are being defaced and taken down, because in some form or fashion, they were linked to racism. Everyone from Abraham Lincoln, U.S. Grant, Teddy Roosevelt, and even John Wayne. Across America and in Washington, DC, we our history is being erased. The democrats are even trying to turn DC into its own state.Every product advertised with a non-Caucasian person is being removed from the market, under the pressure of these radicals, including Mrs. Butterworth, Uncle Ben, Eskimo Pie Guy, and others. This has lead to a new, much smaller, but much more frightening, movement to get rid of every statue of a white Jesus, because its racist. But it doesn't stop there. They have started destroying and defacing churches, in an effort to destroy anything connected to Jesus.

So God showing me this verse....this verse! Man he is good! I mean I'm pretty sure everyone, whether they are willing to admit it or not, Christian or Jew, Muslim or Buddist, atheist or Scientology, (you get my point) has thought about this being the end time. As in, THE END OF DAYS! Pretty heart stopping if you think about it. ( we'll put a pin in that a circle back around in a minute.) So, this verse, He is the best. Search for a verse, and He'll just hand it to you. But, wait...

Just check one more

Alright, so while I'm here (in the "Where to Find It in the Bible"), I'll check another verse before I go. Right on top of Valley of Decision is Hopeful Valley. I kid you not. Go look it up. I'll wait.

Who I'm I kidding! Read this verse that God handpicked for me today.

"There I will give her back her vineyards and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will sing as in the days of her youth as in the day she came up out of Egypt". -Hosea 2:15

Read it again. He will make transform this valley into a door of hope. It can't get much more clear then that. The Valley of Achor was near Jericho and where God first judged His people in the Promise Land. Here it becomes a "symbol of new opportunity"; hope not judgement - in the valley. That very same valley where we place so much judgement on ourselves, God meets us there with hope. THIS VERSE! This is the one that was meant for me. I'll explain, but first, I have to tell you that when you read further in this chapter, verses 19-20, you will read about the five traits that will make up the covenant of the bride price; righteousness, justice, love, compassion and faithfulness. A bride price dictated by God. A new covenant for a bride price.

"Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and the bride has made herself ready." -Revelation 19:7

That bride is us. Jesus told us, in Matthew 22, the parable of the wedding banquet. He says very plainly that "heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son" (v. 1), and even though preparations were made, and invitations sent, no one attended. The king then destroys the city but has his servants bring in all the people who were left in the streets, to attend the wedding. When he discovered that a guest didn't have wedding clothes, that guest was thrown out. At that time, it was customary for the host to provide wedding clothes for the guests. For the man not to have accepted was in insult. We have been given the new covenant of the bride price Jesus paid; righteousness, justice, love, compassion and faithfulness. Isaiah 11:5 says we are clothed in righteousness and faithfulness. We have been given our wedding clothes.

"Then the angel said to me, "Write: "Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!" And he added, "These are the true words of God." -Revelation 19:9
